1. What the service is — and is not

HVACBidCheck.com reviews heating and cooling replacement quotes that you enter. It lines them up side by side, checks the efficiency figures you supply against the federal minimum for the equipment class you select on each row, compares price where the quotes are for the same capacity, and lists questions to ask.

It is not a load calculation. It is not an ACCA Manual J. It is not an engineering report, an inspection, or a document any permit office will accept. We are not engineers and not contractors. We do not visit or inspect your home, we do not size equipment, we do not recommend a capacity, and we do not tell you which contractor to hire. Every figure about your quotes is either something you typed or arithmetic performed on what you typed. The report also quotes published federal efficiency minimums and two figures from a Department of Energy guide, and its explanatory text is fixed wording we wrote — those are cited where they appear.

We see only what you enter. A contractor who has surveyed your house, ductwork, insulation and electrical service may have sound reasons for choices this review flags. A flag is a question worth asking, never a finding that anyone has done anything wrong. We make no representation about the fairness of any price, the suitability of any equipment, or the competence of any contractor.

If you want an actual answer on sizing, ask your contractor for the Manual J load calculation. Getting you to ask for it is much of the point of this report.

2. Payment, rebuilds, refunds

The review is a one-time purchase processed by Stripe. After payment you may correct your entries and rebuild the report up to ten times. If a generated document contains a defect we cannot correct through a rebuild, we will refund the purchase in full — write to the support address below within 14 days.

3. Acceptable use

Enter what your quotes actually say. The service never invents a figure: anything a quote does not state, you leave blank, and the report says so rather than filling it in. Please do not rely on this review as your only input on a purchase of this size.

4. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Archieboy Holdings' aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the review giving rise to the claim.

Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Your account email; what you enter about the job (a name for it, your state, conditioned square footage, system type, and the figures from your quotes); and standard technical logs. Do not enter your full street address, your contractors' private contact details, or any payment or account numbers — the review needs none of them. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details never touch our servers.

2. Retention

Generated documents and the entries behind them are retained for 90 days after delivery so you can re-download and rebuild, then purged automatically. Purchase records are retained as required for accounting.

3. AI processing

No language model processes your review. Every figure is computed by our own software, on our own servers, from the numbers you entered. Your entries are not sent to any AI provider and are never used to train anything.

You pay us; nobody else does. We take no referral fees, no advertising and no commissions from HVAC companies, we have no relationship with any contractor, and we never pass your details or your quotes to one. There would be little point in a second opinion paid for by the industry it reviews. Infrastructure providers (hosting, payments, email delivery) process data only as needed to operate the service.
